Production Day 1

After three days of constant laughing and countless repeating of filming (due to me laughing at every moment) we finally made it and have started editing our first draft! the quality of our shots look amazing and we took great care in choosing location and which camera shot to use.

Production day 1 -
Andrew Chappell acting dead
'Look how white my legs are!'

Police Cones (found)
At 13:20 we left school and set sail the take 1 production ship and met at my house to begin getting the clothing and other props for our first 'take'. We decided to do the first 2 scenes that introduce the protagonists Detective Smith and Johnson. In the first scene we see a dog walking taking a slightly over excited dog, when he miss throws the ball and lands at the sight of a dead body, unfortuantatly that day the camera wasn't properly charged so the next day we didnt have all the actors so we imprivised with Andrew Chappell becoming the dog walker. We had so much fun filming this scene because Andrew Chappell was shouting at Finty to run after the ball and she just sat still! When filming the dead scene, Andrew had to keep perfectly still which he did well until one scene where he flinched when finty tried to find the ball... We filmed this bit by making my dog finty sitting and then hinding her pink ball in the leaves, then we we said action I tapped my leg and she would move! She was easily the bast actor(actress). Also on the day we found police cones which was like a god send! because we needed it to look more like a crime scene and it couldnt have been better even if we had wished it! Lastly during changeover Chappell decided to scare off everyone at the long walk by showing his 'white legs'
